TRIPLE PLAY by Theresa Cates-McFadden
Not having any formal training, my own style has been developed. The moment I sit on the floor and grab my paints, I pull my canvas close to me. Through creating each particular piece, I find myself having to look in all different directions. I feel a sense of having to convey what's on the inside of me to the canvas; I realize I must feel each piece and once I'm finished a relationship has been established and I have completed what I set out to do. I not only want my paintings to be beautiful but I want them to be able to set the atmosphere where ever it's place to hang. Faith, joy, color and soul are most of the themse found in each painting, which is what I believe are the medicines of life.
My work can be found at Red Door Gallery in North Little Rock, Arkansas. reddoorgalleryonline.com

GOD'S GLORY...FREE by LizBeth Bartell

During my whole life I have been blessed with the gift of being always involved in the field of the Arts. The Lord has given me the determination, strength and talent to excel as an Artist and as featured performers in many roles over an 18 year period of time at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. I was part of the “Disney Dream” with the honor of portraying Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and many other characters during my career with Disney.
As a student at Northeast I excelled in art. I received and art scholarship from the Arkansas league of Artists in high school. I attended UALR and was selected for the Disney summer college program leading to full time employment in Entertainment at Walt Disney World. A very special Disney memory occured when I was part of the “Make-A-Wish” program visiting hospitals around the country and appearing as Cinderella to visit with the little children who were very ill and neede Disney to come to the hospital.
My art reflects all the experiences of my life that would not have been possible if the Lord had not blessed me in the field of Art. Throughout my life I have said to myself which is reflected in my art: “I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me.” Phillipians 4:13

POP FLY by Tod Crites
View eBay Auction | View All Home Plates on eBay
Growing up in North Little Rock I always was encouraged and inspired
by my mother to explore many creative outlets. I can remember at an early
age that I seemed to always think outside of the box when it came to creative projects in school. I always seemed to be the student that wanted to change the guidelines of the assignment to be able to add my own creative flair. I was the student that never wanted to color between the lines.
At the age of twenty I decided one day to take up painting. With a small canvas, one tube of black paint, one tube of white paint and one brush the passion for painting began. Over the next several years I began the journey that has brought me where I am today. I have always been drawn to the use of bright colors and sharp angles with hard lines when it comes to my style of painting. With much trial and some error I have developed a style with the use of many vibrant colors and a somewhat whimsical subject matter.
I always said I did not take my art seriously but over the last few years I realized that I did take my are very seriously it was the subject matter that I seemed to keep light and not so serious. Tod’s work can be seen at Red Door Gallery in North Little Rock. reddoorgalleryonline.com

Miracle League mom and player. I have been called an artist my whole life. My mother has always said she saw the gift as early as 3 years old. Ive taken lessons my whole life and through High School took 3 years of advanced art. I was a scholastic art winner in the state of Tennessee and have had my Art work displayed in New York. I continued my passion after High School into mural work. My work is in several homes and my latest mural completed in 2011 is located in a church. As for Caleb, the plate explains him and baseball. Since Miracle League came into our life, this is the only sport that has embraced us and it's a major part of our lives during the Fall/Spring months. To bring our lives together in this home plate was an honor and we had a blast. We hope the message came across loud and clear. - Laurie Mergenschroer
